Old Stuff Thursday .... and a Hat

Good morning and welcome back to Old Stuff Thursday!

I`ve had this wicker  basket for about ...27 years.  It originally held a huge plant that resembled a banana tree and stood in the upstairs hallway of our second house.  One night, I was awakened by footsteps in the hallway and immediately got up to check on the kids.  Well, there was my sleepwalking 6 year old, Joey, peeing in the plant!  In his ``walking`` state, he must have thought it was the toilet!

It`s a story we tease him about all the time!

Well the tree died!  But since then, it`s held magazines, yarn, shoes and at one point, served as a laundry basket.

Today, it`s Brooklyn`s ``toy box``.  I`m sure we`ll find other uses for it in the future.

And now ..... the hat!

I crocheted it last evening in front of the TV.  The flower is my version of a forget-me-not, one of my favourite Spring beauties.

Here`s to Spring!

The hat is precious. Love the flower. Story about your son and the plant was very funny. My granddaughter sleepwalks too so I understand. Take care.

Very funny story, my youngest was a sleep walker, we had to put an extra lock on my front door so he wouldn't slip out. Love the hat....it is perfect. DO we get a pattern?
Have a great day,
Meredith

I so love the story about the plant. Bless his heart....poor plant. That hat is adorable. You are going to have a great inventory. I wish I could knit faster I would send you baby sweaters to add. I love watching you merchandise preview.

Wow! You have been busy with crocheting. You are talented! I haven't picked up a crochet hook in about 20 years. The hat is adorable and I like the make-up case.
